Dear readers of The History Scrutineer, I would like to share a history feature of mine published in what was one’s local newspaper. This concerned the scrutinizing of a case involving whether or not a set of caves were used by the area’s notorious smuggling gangs of the 18th/19th centuries along Southeast England’s coasts.
