An extremely vast and fascinating subject, The History Scrutineer has begun to delve into the pools of the secret meanings of certain numbers or ‘esoteric numerology’, something, which is associated for instance very much with Freemasonry and other secret societes, including of course the infamous and debated Illuminati. A question was posed on an online forum where certain affiliated ‘article-sourcers’ contribute:

Why is the number 33 so important to the Illuminati?

The short answer is numerology and a ratio known as Phi 1.618. The importance of thirds in scripture has to do with the universal laws of nature and balance. Judgment is often poured out in thirds. A third of the stars of heaven fell with Satan. The mark of the beast is 666 or two thirds leaving one third or 333. The nature of everything in existance is governed by the ratio 1.618 which is a ratio of thirds. From the laws of light and sound to the spiral of electrons around an atom, to the 33 vertebra in the human spine. Christ was 33 when he died and risen 3 days later. The reason the number 33 is important in occult circles is because scripture warns Satan is a counterfeiter and because 33 is an elect number it would make sense that if a third of the angels fell from heaven a third must be purchased from the earth for there to be balance concerning the law. If God has an elect chosen and faithful then it would make sense that Satan as a counterfeiter would seek his own counterfeit elect chosen and faithful, Christ/Antichrist.

What is Number Five in Freemasonry?

The fifth degree of the Freemasons is known as the Master Mason degree. This is the highest degree that can be attained within the fraternity and it represents a commitment to the principles of Freemasonry. In this degree, members are expected to be exemplary in their behavior and demonstrate a deep understanding of the symbols, rituals, and teachings of Freemasonry.

At this level, members must demonstrate that they have mastered the essential principles of Freemasonry. These principles include brotherly love, relief, truth, and knowledge of self. The Master Mason must also demonstrate an understanding of Masonic law and ethics. They must also be able to recognize other members by their Masonic signs, symbols, and passwords.

In order to become a Master Mason, an individual must first travel through the first four degrees in Freemasonry: Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craftsman, Mark Master Mason, and Most Excellent Master. During these degrees each member is taught important lessons about Masonic history and philosophy as well as how to apply these teachings in their everyday lives. Once an individual has completed all four degrees they may then petition to become a Master Mason.

Once accepted into this highest degree of Freemasonry they will take part in a series of rituals which will help them understand what it means to be a true master mason. This includes memorizing certain passages from Masonic texts as well as taking part in certain ceremonies which signify their commitment to the fraternity. After completing all these rites they will finally receive their official recognition as a Master Mason from their lodge or Grand Lodge.

The fifth degree is an important milestone for any member of the Masonic fraternity and it signifies that they have reached the pinnacle of achievement within the organization.

Number Seven in Freemasonry

Freemasonry is one of the oldest and most mysterious organizations in the world. The number seven has always been an important symbol within Freemasonry, representing many different things. It is believed that the sevens represent perfection and completeness, as there are seven days in a week and many other perfect numbers associated with it. It is also believed to represent the seven liberal arts and sciences, which are grammar, rhetoric, logic, arithmetic, geometry, music and astronomy.

The number seven also appears frequently in Masonic ritual. For example, a candidate must pass through seven degrees to become a Master Mason. There are also seven working tools used by Masons when constructing lodges and other Masonic structures: the gavel, skirret, chisel, mallet, rule gauge or measuring line and plumb rule.

Another important use of the number seven in Freemasonry is found in Solomon’s Temple. The Temple was said to have been constructed using only three materials – gold, silver and brass – but these were combined together using seven different techniques: two types of carving, two types of overlay work (inlaying precious metals into wood or stone), ivory overlays on wood or stone surfaces; engraving upon metal plates; hammering out thin sheets of metal; and mosaic work (made by cutting small pieces of various materials).

The number seven is also used to represent the human body using its various components: head (brain), neck (throat), arms (hands), chest (heart), stomach (belly), legs (feet) and backside (anus). This symbolism relates to a belief that a person must be perfect in body and mind before being admitted into Freemasonry.
